Mexico and Guatemala, 24 February 2000. This true-color view of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico was taken by the most steeply forward looking camera of the Multi-angle Imaging SpectroRadiometer (MISR) instrument aboard NASA's Terra spacecraft. The instrument has nine cameras that look toward Earth at different angles. Guatemala is in the southern part of the land area and the Sierra Madre Mountains are visible through the clouds.
