MISR Level 3 Products

The MISR Level 3 Products are global or regional maps of select parameters from the Level 2 products and associated covariances reported on various geographic grids depending on the data product. Parameters from multiple orbits are combined to make complete Level 3 global maps at daily (D), monthly (M), quarterly (Q), and yearly (Y) time scales and regional maps associated with field campaigns at daily and monthly time scales.

New Level 3 Data Products: Cloud Fraction by Altitude (CFbA) and Cloud Motion Vector (CMV)
The CFbA product provides the frequency of cloud occurrence partitioned into different cloud top height bins at a global and monthly scale. The CMV product provides conveniently organized, high quality retrievals of cloud motion due to advection.

netCDF products: netCDF data were designed specifically to support the climate modeling community. These products are the same format as the HDF-EOS products except there is one file for each grid resolution. Example file name: MISR_AM1_CGCL_0_5_DEG_JUN_01_2003_F02_0020.nc
