The development of EOSDIS will be evolutionary in nature and will be built in a series of versions to facilitate change by incorporating existing technologies, scientific expertise, operational experience, facilities, and supporting infrastructure. The first step in this evolutionary process is EOSDIS Version 0 -- a working prototype.
