CERES EBAF Data available in the ArcGIS Portal

The Atmospheric Science Data Center (ASDC) DAAC has now published 28 variables from the Clouds and the Earth’s Radiant Energy System (CERES) Energy Balanced and Filled (EBAF) Edition 4 Top-of-Atmosphere (TOA) data product as ArcGIS Image Services and Web Mapping Services (WMS) into their production ASDC ArcGIS Portal

These services will provide easier access and use by the geospatial user community in open source and commercial GIS tools and remove the barrier of transforming each NASA data product after download, leading to more easily accessible NASA ASDC data products by the community.  The EBAF data product is one of the most popular data products from the CERES mission and is being used for climate model evaluation, estimating the Earth's global mean energy budget, and to infer meridional heat transport.  The ASDC will continue to add additional data products based on science team inputs and user demand.
