Webinar: Data-Driven Storytelling, Using Atmospheric Data to Share Your Science

March 17, 2020, 8 a.m.

Project: MISR

ASDC Data Driven Storytelling Webinar

Join us as we show you how to discover and download atmospheric data at NASA's Atmospheric Science Data Center (ASDC) in order to showcase your research and enable visualizations of your data and analysis.

NASA’s Atmospheric Science Data Center (ASDC) ingests, processes, archives, and distributes Earth science data relating to aerosols, clouds, tropospheric composition, and the radiation budget. This webinar will help you to not only find and download ASDC data, but also enable your research and analysis needed to illustrate the importance and relevance of your work. ASDC Science Lead Dr. Danielle Groenen will guide users through an Australian Wildfire case study using a systematic approach to learn about, search for, download, visualize, and analyze data for wildfire research. This workflow is applicable to other weather and climate-related research. Dr. Groenen will also highlight brand-new resources such as the Earthdata User’s Forum and the Direct Data Download tool, newly available on the new ASDC website. These resources will help make sharing your science easier and allow you to create a compelling story to share with your community.
